Basketball

Oh dear, it appears it’s been 36 days since I posted.  Oops! Well I’m back to share some pictures of Nathan’s basketball game today.  I am so extra crazy proud of how that boy played today.  He was tough on defense.  He stole the ball, got some rebounds, and fought for possession of the ball.  He hustled and played hard out there today.  He even won a little award.  The coaches give out this poster board thing to a boy each week for doing a great job. Nathan got it this time for being the most aggressive!

Pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins last night with the kids.  This was Nathan’s first year to do his completely on his own.  Connor did quite a bit of his as well.  The twins got to help do theirs.  After the carving, we tried them out with some candles out front.  Then Nathan tried out his experiment for the science fair that he is doing at school today.  He did a vinegar and baking soda reaction inside a pumpkin, with a little food coloring.  Fun family time!

Bike night

Scouts had their bike night last night.  The boys and a few of the parents and leaders all took a bike ride together. Here’s a picture of a happy Nathan before the ride.

Sweet brother

Anna got up, and sat down with Connor in the chair.  He reached over and started to smooth her bed head and asked “how was your night?”.  Such a sweet moment.

Funny faces

I tried to get a good shot of the 4 of them, but I got squinting eyes and half smiles that were just humoring me.  So we tried a silly one instead.  I think we get more personality this way! 🙂

Walk-a-thon

Nathan and Connor participated in their walk-a-thon at school yesterday.  Connor said he did 22 laps, and Nathan did 16. Nathan told me he was “really surprised” Connor did more than he did. 🙂  They get a mark on their faces and arms for each lap to keep track.
